IWT Privacy Policy

1. Information We Do Not Ask You To Provide

IWT does not require you to create an account.

IWT does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, payment information, health records, fitness history, or medical information.

IWT does not track your route, GPS location, steps, speed, distance, calories, heart rate, or other health measurements.

2. Information Stored On Your Device

IWT stores app preferences locally on your device, such as interval durations, cycle count, starting pace, sound setting, vibration setting, and whether you accepted the first-run safety notice.

This information is used only to make the app work as expected. It is not uploaded to our servers by the current version of the app.

3. Remote Configuration And Update Checks

IWT may contact a Cloudflare Pages-hosted configuration file to check app version rules, update messages, and related app configuration. This allows us to notify users if an important app update is required.

Like most internet services, Cloudflare may process technical request information such as IP address, request time, user agent, device/browser networking metadata, and related logs as part of delivering the configuration response, maintaining security, preventing abuse, and operating the service.

We do not use this remote configuration request to collect your walking route, workout history, health data, or personal profile.

4. Voice, Audio, And Vibration

IWT uses your device's text-to-speech functionality to play voice cues such as fast pace, slow pace, and workout complete. IWT does not record audio or listen through your microphone.

IWT may request temporary audio focus so voice cues can be heard. Other media may briefly lower volume during a cue and then continue. IWT may also use device vibration for pace changes and workout completion if vibration is enabled.

5. Notifications

IWT uses notifications to show active walking session status, pace information, and timing information while the app is running in the background or the screen is locked.

6. Permissions

Depending on your Android version and settings, IWT may request permissions needed for:

• Notifications, so active session status can appear while the app is in the background or locked.
• Vibration, so pace changes and completion can use haptic feedback.
• Foreground service operation, so sessions can continue while the screen is locked.

IWT does not request location permission in the current version.

7. Data Sharing

IWT does not sell personal information.

IWT does not share personal information for advertising in the current version.

Cloudflare Pages is used as a service provider for remote app configuration and privacy-policy hosting. Service providers may process technical data only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve their services.

8. Ads, Payments, Analytics, And Future Features

The current version of IWT does not include advertising, in-app purchases, account login, route tracking, analytics, or crash reporting.

If future versions add ads, payments, analytics, accounts, crash reporting, premium features, or other third-party SDKs, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data Safety form must be updated before those features are released.

9. Health And Safety

IWT is a timer and cueing tool. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, coaching, emergency support, or a medical device. Interval walking involves physical activity and may not be appropriate for everyone.

You are responsible for deciding whether this activity is safe for you, your health, your route, your device, and your surroundings. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before using IWT if you have health concerns, are pregnant, are recovering from illness or injury, take medication that may affect exercise tolerance, or are unsure whether interval walking is appropriate for you.

10. Children's Privacy

IWT is not intended for children. The app should be used by adults or under appropriate adult supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. International Users

If you use IWT outside your country of residence, technical information related to remote configuration requests may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. By using the app, you understand that such processing may occur as part of providing the app's functionality.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate for the current app, including HTTPS for remote configuration requests. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app or through the app store listing.
